What types of Marking labels are there?

Product marking is essential for every manufacturing company. Due to the wide variety of industries and products it is necessary that each label perfectly matches its purpose while withstanding all rules and regulations. The company’s main raw materials are:

Polyester – This is a synthetic non tear plastic like resistant materiel that can withstand temperatures of up to 150 ° C. Its characteristics make it perfect for internal and external use for electric applications, Hi-Tech products, medical devices, military use and lighting fixtures. The labels with an American UL usually come in glossy white, glossy/ mat silver.

Polyamide – A synthetic material withstanding temperatures of 300 ° C. It is highly demanded by companies in need of top quality durable labels for PCB and SMT process components in high temperatures. It is easy to print on these labels therefore they are mainly distributed to companies in need of identification labels that include different names or serial numbers.

Polyethylene – A flexible plastic like easy to print on materiel suited for curved and round surfaces. It has high tensile capacity and cannot tear and when printed on with a suitable ribbon it is highly durable. 

Polypropylene – The most common plastic material in the label industry. As a durable, flexible, based on several adhesives, non-tear and moisture repellant plastic oriented material it is used for a variety of application in many industries. It can be easily printed and it is suited for internal and partially external use with high moisture resistance.

Laxen – A tough, durable substance resistant to erosion suited for devices, panels and labels exposed to erosion and contact. Printing on Laxen labels is done in a protective reverse technique and can be applied on the surface in several colors in silk or digital printing.

Vinyl – A plastic look alike elastic material designated for printing and used on curved and round surfaces in extreme conditions.      

Paper – A standard label used for several applications that do not require heat resistance or long shelf life. The company holds a large selection of custom made paper labels based on a range of adhesives in a cost effective price.

Glossy paper – Glossy paper is widely used by Idanim Technologies Ltd. as it is one of the industry’s’ most common and cost effective raw material. The smooth, glossy white paper is usually used for high quality durable printed labels. 

Vellum paper – Idanim Technologies Ltd. mainly uses Vellum paper to manufacture barcode labels or labels to write on with a pen or marker. The highly absorbent and durable paper has a relatively smooth surface but not as silky as glossy paper.

Thermal paper – This raw material is designed for thermal printers or weights and features ink embedded in the raw material that is released by heat so no external ink foil is needed. There are two kinds of Thermal paper:

  1. Protected Thermal Paper – The raw material is usually made with suitable freezing adhesive and comes with a moisture and scratches protective layer.
  2. Unprotected Thermal Paper – The most common thermal raw material is produced with regular adhesive and has no protective layer.


Egg Peel Labels

This PVC label is widely used by Idanim Technologies Ltd. The main purpose of the label is to act as a packaging protective measure indicating the package is intact and was not opened at any point. The idea here is based on the medieval principal of a seal for letters. This is a disposable label, once opened it cannot be used.

VOID labels

These safety labels have one clear purpose: to prove the package remained sealed and was not opened at any point. It has a unique feature of two adhesive layers making it impossible to open without leaving remains of one adhesive layer on the package as it is hard to peel. This is very significant feature for products authenticity.
